BlokNotes

Turn approved workspace records into website content

Product details, company profiles and articles are often reviewed in the workspace, then copied into a separate content system. Content channels remove that duplicate step: select the BlokNotes records and fields a website may read, review the change, and publish a fixed version.

BlokNotes is the structured content source; your developer still controls the website and presentation. It is not a visual website builder.

Publish only what the website needs

Build a dataset from selected items, a collection, company directory, project list, note collection or data table. Choose which records, properties and note bodies become public; internal fields can still power filters without being returned.

  • Explicit public-field selection per dataset
  • Filters and ordering for predictable website queries
  • Response limits to control payload size
  • Whole-channel or dataset-specific website access

Connect an approved developer-built website

Allow specific website origins to request the channel, with optional subdomain access. Developers use the delivered schema and records to build the public experience while the team keeps editing familiar BlokNotes objects.

  • Approved origins rather than open cross-site access
  • Optional subdomain access per website connection
  • Preview credentials for unpublished changes

Review, publish and roll back

Review what changed before publishing. Each publish creates an immutable snapshot, so the live website does not drift with every internal edit and an earlier version can be restored when needed.

  • Reviewable change summary before publish
  • Immutable numbered versions
  • Rollback to a previous snapshot

Bring website responses back into the workspace

Add forms to a channel, receive submissions in a shared inbox and notify selected teammates. Optional Turnstile protection helps reduce automated form abuse.

  • Form definitions delivered with the channel
  • Submission inbox and notification recipients
  • Optional Cloudflare Turnstile protection

See delivery usage before it becomes a surprise

Content-channel reporting shows delivery bandwidth and usage against the workspace plan. Current monthly allowances are 10 GB on Free, 100 GB on Pro and 1 TB on Business.

FAQ

Questions about content channels

Is BlokNotes a website builder?

No. A developer builds and styles the website. BlokNotes provides selected structured records, note content and forms through a controlled content channel.

Does editing a record immediately change the live website?

No. Teams can preview and review changes before publishing. A publish creates an immutable version, and an earlier version can be restored.

Can private workspace fields remain private?

Yes. Each dataset specifies the public fields and whether note bodies are included. Internal properties may be used for filtering without being returned to the website.

Can a website submit forms back to BlokNotes?

Yes. Content channels can expose configured forms, collect responses in a workspace inbox, notify selected recipients and optionally use Turnstile protection.
